EBL will, from time to time, take select equipment from courses and conduct break tests to determine how equipment is wearing and tearing after use by ropes course participants. Currently, we have a working knowledge of over tens of thousands participant cycles on our client zip line tours. These results help us provide more accurate information for our clients and help maximize equipment life cycles without compromising customer or course integrity. No other company has the testing, operational, and training experience as EBL. Our 'hands on knowledge' is a great value to a starting tour and cannot be offered by any other company.
EBL has designed and develop custom harnesses, pulleys, safety lanyards, and operational procedures for zip line tours. Much of this information was adopted by the Professional Ropes Course Association (PRCA) and was implemented in the Ropes Course / Zip Line Tours Installation, training, and Operational Standards, published in 2003. All lanyards, pulleys, and carabiners are selected and designed specifically for their industrial use and operation with zip line ecology tours. Many components are rated and break test well over 7,000 lbs. Tour pulleys are rated to and break test at around 19,000 lbs.
